The itineraries span France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Romania, with an expanded selection of cultural, culinary, and active shore excursions available along the route. New cultural experiences invite guests to explore some of Europe’s most iconic destinations, including the Triberg Waterfalls in Germany’s Black Forest, the medieval town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a full-day tour of Brussels featuring the Atomium and Cinquantenaire Park, and a themed journey through Nuremberg following in the footsteps of renowned artist Albrecht Dürer.
Culinary-focused experiences have also been expanded for 2027, giving food and wine lovers the opportunity to discover regional flavors through immersive tastings and local traditions. Highlights include Norman apple wine, apple brandy, and aperitif tastings, explorations of Cologne’s distinctive beer culture, and a Riesling tasting in the historic wine cellar of Eberbach Abbey.
For guests seeking a more active way to explore Europe, the 2027 program introduces a broader selection of guided cycling, e-bike, and hiking excursions. These include cycling tours through the Camargue and North Holland, relaxed e-bike routes along the Danube in the Wachau and Klosterneuburg regions, and scenic hikes such as the Philosopher’s Walk in Heidelberg, the Seine to Côte Sainte-Catherine in Rouen, and Bulgaria’s unspoiled Rusenski Lom Nature Park.
Joining the fleet in spring 2027, the five-star AMADEUS Mira will accommodate 158 guests in 12 spacious suites with balconies and 67 staterooms featuring panoramic windows. Onboard amenities include the elegant Panorama Restaurant, a sun deck with an outdoor pool and Lido Bar, a modern fitness room, and the River Terrace, designed for relaxed al fresco moments along the water. The ship will also incorporate advanced environmental technologies, including a hybrid propulsion system and an efficient heat recovery system, further strengthening AMADEUS River Cruises’ commitment to sustainability.
AMADEUS Mira will operate a variety of Rhine and Danube itineraries, including tulip cruises from Amsterdam, scenic sailings between Trier and Passau, voyages to the Danube Delta, and an immersive 15-day journey from Amsterdam to Budapest.
Marcus Leskovar, President of AMADEUS River Cruises, commented, “Our 2027 program reflects our continued focus on thoughtful growth and meaningful innovation. From the introduction of a new five-star ship to the expansion of our shore excursions, every element has been carefully designed to enhance the guest experience while offering more choice, flexibility, and depth in how guests explore Europe.”
